How to Hire a Verified Worker in Mozambique: A Client's Guide

Hiring an informal worker in Mozambique traditionally means relying on word-of-mouth and hoping for the best. Verified hiring through reputation scores and escrow payment removes that guesswork entirely.

The Hiring Process

| Step | What Happens | |------|-----------------| | 1. Post the job | Describe the task, location, and budget on the platform | | 2. Review matched workers | See reputation score, completed jobs, and client ratings | | 3. Confirm and fund escrow | Payment locks in the smart contract — not released yet | | 4. Worker completes job | Worker submits photo/confirmation evidence | | 5. You confirm and release | Payment releases only after you're satisfied |

Why Reputation Scores Matter More Than Word-of-Mouth

A worker's reputation score (0-1000) is built from verified data — completed jobs, client ratings, dispute history — not a friend's recommendation that may be years out of date. This gives you an objective signal before you ever meet the worker.

What Escrow Protects You From

Without escrow, paying upfront risks the worker disappearing after payment; paying after risks the worker never getting compensated for real work. Escrow removes both risks — your money is safe until you personally confirm the job is done right.

Checking Credentials Before Hiring

For skilled trades (electrician, welder, solar installer), scan the worker's NFT credential via QR code to instantly verify certifications — no phone calls to training institutions required.

What to Do If Something Goes Wrong

If a job isn't completed to standard, you can raise a dispute before releasing payment — a peer tribunal of verified workers reviews evidence and makes a fair, binding decision.
