Plumbing Training in Mozambique: From Apprentice to Certified Professional
Plumbing is a stable, high-demand trade across Mozambique's urban and peri-urban areas. As water infrastructure expands in Maputo, Beira, and Nampula, certified plumbers are increasingly hired over informal, unverified workers.
Core Training Modules
| Module | Duration | Skills Covered | |--------|----------|----------------| | Pipe systems fundamentals | 2 weeks | Materials, fittings, tools | | Residential plumbing | 3 weeks | Installation, leak repair | | Water heater & solar systems | 2 weeks | Installation, maintenance | | Drainage & sanitation | 3 weeks | Septic systems, code compliance | | Apprenticeship | 12 weeks | Paid, supervised biscates |
Why Certification Changes Everything
An uncertified plumber quotes a job and the client hesitates — no way to verify skill. A certified plumber scans a QR code showing 18 verified micro-credentials, 94 completed jobs, and a 4.7★ rating. The client hires instantly.
